4.7 The Customer will be informed of significant additional charges where reasonably practicable before the additional service is undertaken.
5. Payment
5.1 Payment must be made using the payment method provided by Rapide Logistics.
5.2 A booking may not be considered confirmed until payment has been received and the booking has been accepted by Rapide Logistics.
5.3 Where additional charges arise because the actual Consignment differs from the information provided, the Customer may be required to pay the additional amount before the delivery continues or is completed.
5.4 All prices will be subject to VAT where applicable.
6. Cancellation
6.1 Cancellation requests should be made as soon as possible.
6.2 Cancellation charges may apply depending on when the booking is cancelled and whether Rapide Logistics has already allocated a driver, vehicle or other resources.
6.3 Where a driver has already been dispatched or has arrived at the Collection Point, Rapide Logistics may charge reasonable costs incurred in connection with the booking.
6.4 Where a booking is cancelled because the Consignment was materially different from the information supplied by the Customer, Rapide Logistics may retain or charge an appropriate amount to cover reasonable costs already incurred.

8. Delivery
8.1 Rapide Logistics will use reasonable efforts to deliver the Consignment within the agreed delivery timeframe.
8.2 Unless expressly agreed in writing, delivery times are estimates and are subject to circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8.3 Rapide Logistics may require a signature, photograph, electronic confirmation or other evidence of delivery.
8.4 Where the recipient is unavailable, refuses delivery or the Delivery Point cannot reasonably be accessed, Rapide Logistics may contact the Customer for further instructions.
8.5 Additional charges may apply for redelivery, waiting, storage, return journeys or changes to the Delivery Point.
9. Waiting Time
9.1 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that collection and delivery locations are ready to receive the driver.
9.2 Where a driver is required to wait beyond any waiting period included in the quotation, additional waiting charges may apply.
9.3 Waiting charges may also apply where delays are caused by loading, unloading, security procedures, site access, paperwork or other circumstances outside the driver’s control.
10. Loading and Unloading
10.1 Unless specifically agreed, the Customer is responsible for ensuring that the Consignment can be safely loaded and unloaded.
10.2 Rapide Logistics may not provide specialist equipment, machinery or additional labour unless this has been agreed in advance.
10.3 If additional assistance is required, additional charges may apply.
11. Packaging
11.1 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that goods are appropriately packaged and protected for transportation.
11.2 Rapide Logistics may refuse to transport goods that are inadequately packaged where this could create a risk of damage, injury or damage to the vehicle or other property.

12.4 Rapide Logistics reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking involving goods that we reasonably believe cannot be transported safely or legally.
12.5 The Customer may be responsible for losses, costs, penalties or claims resulting from inaccurate or deliberately incomplete information regarding the Consignment, subject to applicable law.
14. Liability
14.1 Rapide Logistics will take reasonable care when handling and transporting Consignments.
14.2 Subject to applicable law, Rapide Logistics’ liability for loss or damage to goods will be limited to the amount covered by the applicable goods-in-transit insurance or other liability arrangements for the particular service.
14.3 Details of the goods-in-transit cover applicable to a booking can be confirmed on request before you book. Liability limits follow the cover in force for that booking and are not unlimited.
14.4 Rapide Logistics will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses where such limitation is permitted by law.
14.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
15. High-Value and Special Goods
Customers should inform Rapide Logistics before booking if a Consignment contains particularly valuable, fragile, perishable or otherwise sensitive goods.
Additional insurance or special arrangements may be required.
Rapide Logistics reserves the right to decline transportation of goods where suitable insurance or handling arrangements cannot be provided.

- Road closures
- Accidents
- Vehicle breakdown
- Severe weather
- Strikes
- Emergency services activity
- Government restrictions
- Security incidents
- Unexpected access restrictions
- Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Customer informed where such circumstances affect the delivery.
18. Changes to a Booking
Any change to the collection address, delivery address, number of items, vehicle requirement, number of stops or other material booking information may result in an additional charge.
The Customer should contact Rapide Logistics as soon as possible if any details change.
19. Subcontractors and Drivers
Rapide Logistics may use suitably engaged drivers, subcontractors or transport providers to complete a booking.
The Customer agrees that such persons may perform the services on behalf of Rapide Logistics.
20. Payment Disputes
If the Customer believes that a charge has been made incorrectly, they should contact Rapide Logistics promptly with details of the dispute.
A payment dispute does not automatically cancel or invalidate other amounts properly due under the booking.
21. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects any statutory rights that a consumer has under UK law.
Where a booking is made by a consumer, Rapide Logistics will comply with applicable consumer protection legislation.
22. Privacy
